We have been working on updates to the Zephyr account management system!
Brief Overview
You do not need to do anything if you login to your account between November 15, 2023 and January 22, 2024. Afterwards you will need to reset your password to access your Zephyr account.
For accessing the simulator, you will need to keep the Little Arms Launcher AND the simulator up to date with the latest versions.
The Details
If you’re interested in the details of these updates read on! Otherwise, you have the gist of what’s happening and should not experience issues accessing your Zephyr account.
We have been working to upgrade our account management system behind the scenes. We have made the transition as seamless as possible. You should not experience any issues accessing your account when the update goes live. When we finally cut off our old account management system, that’s when users will need to reset their password in order to regain access to their accounts. Rest assured accounts and data will remain intact regardless of user actions during this time period.
This new platform that will allow us to do some really cool things in the future, like two factor authentication, single sign-on, and custom security features!
With this update comes new authorization methods where the simulator is concerned. The Launcher has handled the login for the simulator for a while now. The simulator has had a fallback method where you can login using email/password if the launcher login doesn’t work for one reason or another. With this update we are relying solely on the launcher for authorization and removing the login fallback in the simulator.
This simplifies the simulator login process immensely and will result in a more reliable simulator experience.
For Institution Administrators
User accounts are being migrated automatically; however, if your users do not login to Zephyr between November 16, 2023 and January 22, 2024, they will need to request a password reset through the login window to regain access to their account.
If you are in charge of lab machines, they will need to be updated to the latest Little Arms Launcher and Simulator version by January 22, 2024 in order to maintain access to the simulator. These Launcher and Simulator updates will go out on early to mid-December {DATE TBD}. So, between {DATE TBD} and January 22, 2024, your computers will need to be updates to run the latest Little Arms Launcher and Zephyr Drone Simulator.

Password Reset
If you did not login to Zephyr during the migration time window, that’s okay! Your account and reports are still safe. You simply just need to reset your password.
Reset your password through the website:
Go to www.zephyr-sim.com
Click “Log In” at the top of the screen
Enter the email you use for Zephyr in the “Email address” text box
Click “Continue”
Click “Forgot password?”
Make sure your email is entered in the “Email address” text box correctly
Click “Continue”
You will receive an email with a password reset link
Click the “Reset Password” link in the email
Enter your new password
Confirm your new password
Click “Reset password”
Login to Zephyr using your new password
